Internal Auditor to audit processes and products (pre/post-production) to ensure ISO and company's requirements and specifications are met.


  • Co-ordinate, conduct, and document internal audits following regulatory, industry, and internal quality guidelines, including ISO 9001:2015 and 22000:2005.
  • Ensures accurate data collection.
  • Helps department in the root cause analysis and corrective actions of audits findings, tracking to resolution.
  • Initiate product/process improvements 
  • Assist in the maintenance of the ISO Document Control System, including the creation, revision, and enhancement of documents records.
  • Provides immediate feedback to production areas concerning process deviations.
  • Reviews and evaluates programs and projects to ensure adherence to company, customer, and ISO standards by participation in activities such as meetings, walkthroughs, reviews, checks, and audits
  • May provide or help to coordinate process training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



  • Comprehensive understanding of quality management systems initiatives and standards, including experience in writing policies and procedures in assigned subject-matter area(s), especially Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety Management Systems
  • Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills; written and oral communication skills; be detail oriented, organized, accurate, flexible and able to handle multiple tasks and time-critical deadlines
  • Capable of working independently as well as part of a team under minimum supervision, be well organized and hold a high degree of confidentiality
  • Proficient in process improvement, integration, and problem-solving practices.
  • Must be able to interface with others professionally.
  • The ability and willingness to learn new tasks and software programs as appropriate
  • Attend a training course and acquire new qualifications as deemed necessary to perform the duties of the position.
  • The role requires extensive domestic travel and international travel.
  • Conversation French is a plus


  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years Associates Degree or a solid QA administrative background required.
  • Minimum Advance Level (Expert Level preferred) in Microsoft Office suite of tools.
  • Previous experience (Professional Certification preferred) coordinating a busy, diverse department preferably with Administrative and Project Management skills


***This position will be housed at one of Independent Stave Company's Morehead, KY locations.
